Invite you to take centring breath and feel the breath relaxing and refreshing your tired bodies. Please bring to mind a hymn you feel best presents a metaphor for God’s strength; faithfulness; dependability; or ability to secure, comfort, protect, sustain, or uphold. Feel free to share the verse, phrase, or metaphor from the hymn that stands most meaningful to you, listing the phrases or metaphors on poster paper with a coloured marker. Ask “What were your fears as a child, and what helped you to feel safe when you were afraid?” and list your answers on the poster paper, using a black marker for the fears.
